You all must have heard about India’s most dangerous NSG commandos. From the Prime Minister to other VVIPs, NSG’s Black Cat Commandos are deployed for their security. Apart from this, NSG commandos carry out operations even in difficult situations like terrorist attacks for the security of the country. These commandos are covered in black clothes from head to toe, so they are called Black Cat Commandos.
NSG
The National Security Guard (NSG) is one of the seven central armed police forces under the Home Ministry of the Government of India. Let us tell you that Black Cat Commandos are not directly recruited in NSG. The best soldiers of the Indian Army and paramilitary forces are selected for its training. Its training is very difficult. While 53% of the commandos selected for NSG are from the Indian Army, the remaining 45% commandos are selected from CRPF, ITBP, RAS and BSF.
The toughest training
Let us tell you that the selection of a commando for NSG is done in several stages. First of all, a week of rigorous training is given. 80% soldiers fail in this training and only 15 to 20% soldiers are successful in reaching the final race. The selected soldiers are given 90 days of rigorous training. In this, they are also trained to avoid and attack the enemy with and without weapons. During this training, one has to escape amidst fireballs and showers of bullets. Soldiers who pass this 3-month training are eligible to join the most dangerous and powerful commandos of the country.
Qualities of these soldiers
NSG commandos are not called the most powerful just like that. They learn many things in their toughest training. At the beginning of training, soldiers have 30% to 40% fitness, which increases to 80% to 90% by the end of training. On the other hand, National Security Guard commandos are trained to take one life with one bullet. Commandos are also trained to aim with closed eyes and aim in the dark. A separate process is made to select NSG drivers. During this, driving training is given in case of being surrounded by dangerous roads, landmines and attackers. It is said that an NSG commando can carry out his operation for about 15 days without eating, drinking and sleeping.
